When Link Wray released the thrilling, ominous "Rumble" in 1958, it became one of the only instrumentals ever to be banned from radio play – for fear that it might incite gang violence. By stabbing his amplifier's speaker cone with a pencil, Wray created the distorted, overdriven sound that would reverberate through metal, punk and grunge.
Eastwood Guitars have partnered with Vince Ray to create a stunning Link Wray tribute guitar, (get yours here) with a range of T-shirts featuring the same illustrations and imagery that rekindle our love for Link's mastery of the rock n roll riff.
As the guitar has been a labour of love for the guys at Eastwood Guitars and Vince, we wanted to translate this into the making of our Link Wray inspired T-shirt line. Each design has been a collaborative process from design to production and they are all individually screen printed by hand in the UK. Unleash your inner rebel and the spirit of Link!
