Anton Newcombe

Anton Newcombe is the commander-in-chief of neo-psychedelic legends The Brian Jonestown Massacre, who've been active since 1990 and are still peaking musically.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre enjoyed a "cult" status until they were made famous as the subjects of documentary film 'Dig!' in 2004.

Today, they are one of the most popular and respected bands in the alternative/psych scene, and Anton Newcombe now lives in Berlin, where he has a recording studio and keeps busy not just as a respected musician but also as a producer. In fact, Newcombe is one of the most prolific around, working on new material almost on a daily basis, and releasing new albums practically every year.

Back when he was living in Los Angeles in the 80's and 90's, Anton also was able to collect many rare, vintage guitars at a time when no one cared about them - including models which inspired some of our range, such as the Airline Swingmaster and the Harmony H78 (which we brought back as the Airline H78).

Anton Newcombe has now added an Eastwood to his collection - the Classic 4 Bass.
