Maired O'Connor
Mairead O'Connor is the sometime bassist (on record) and guitarist in British band The Moonlandingz - rocking some fuzzy tones with her collection of eclectic guitars.
The Moonlandingz started life as a "fictional" band for a concept album by Sheffield's experimentalists Eccentronic Research Council, called 'Johnny Rocket, Narcissist and Music Machine…I'm Your Biggest Fan' from 2015.
In 2017 however, The Moonlandingz became a real band - with a well-received debut album, 'Interplanetary Class Classics', which featured collaborations with Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono. For this album, Mairead O'Connor joined the band playing bass, but she was promoted to lead guitarist for the tour, which also saw them playing major festivals such as Glastonbury.
