To start, the Airline Map Deluxe Is marvelous to behold, a joy to play and a genuine surprise to hear! Articulation, sensitivity and power define the performance. All splendid. However, Eastwood could do better with just a hair of support and documentation. No users manual, catalog or even tags. My case, additionally purchased DOES NOT have Eastwood logo as pictured. Small change perhaps, but quite unusual. Don't wish to tell anyone how to do it, but, seriously, study your market, your audience, Eastwood. Love the guitar. Sad your reps don't care about such trivialities (yours, not mine.)

I love the playability and the sound of this guitar, and it looks amazing. Thanks for a great instrument!
My only quibble is that the neck pickup is considerably louder than the bridge pickup. While it's possible to compensate for this by turning down the volume control for the neck pickup, that shouldn't be necessary. Both pickups should be equally loud with both volume pots turned all the way up, shouldn't they? Anyway it's a minor quibble. Overall I'm very pleased with this guitar. It's so much fun to play it!

Howdy folks - I discovered that my last review was on the discontinued Eastwood Supro Dual Tone and not the current Airline Twin Tone. The Supro Dual Tone, used the Eastwood Valco pickups and was a 25 1/2" scale. I can't speak for the Twin Tone but the Dual Tone is the "bomb". If you find one used buy it and turn your Les Paul into a coffee table. Speaking of which I just did some fret work on an 07 Les Paul Studio, so was able to A/B it with my Supro Dual Tone. The LP is twice as expensive and half the guitar! Just to be clear I am not an LP hater, just think the Dual Tone does the LP thing better....

I got this guitar in a trade and was really worried that the humbuckers would be dark and midrangey but to my surprise they were not! They have a lot of brightness to them! and the bridge pick up has that nice vintage twang! like on The Beatles song "Day Tripper"
This thing is eye candy and sounds great to boot! It can cover a multitude of styles: Rock, Country, Jazz, Metal, Surf, ANYTHING! You should stop reading this review and just buy the guitar!

I've owned this guitar from new for a couple of years now ...
Great build quality and looks (I get a lot if people asking about it ..)
Really comfortable to play, great neck (it's quite big which suits my large hands)
I've put a couple of Mojo goldfoil/filtertrons in mine to give it a more twangsome tone BUT the stock pickups sounded ok ....
Would love to have the matching Baritone ....One day - one day .
Highly recommended if you're looking for something a little different

I've had my white MAP DLX for almost a year now - and it's a good time to review. I've put it through its paces, played big gigs and little gigs, recorded a bit, rattled some windows - this thing can easily handle most anything you could throw at it. Smooth as butter on a hot biscuit. Holds tune really nicely, even with the Bigsby. Only issue I've had is a little loose input jack, but that's an easy adjustment.
I bought it B-stock, from the web, sight unseen, and honestly can't tell where the heck this thing had a flaw. Set up was really good right out of the box (although, always a good idea to get any guitar set up to your own playing preference/style). Super impressed with Eastwood's overall service.
After playing it for close to a year, I still feel as good about this guitar as I did when I first got it.

Being a lefty I have always found it difficult to find guitars to add to my growing collection. Having spotted the green Airline Map online one day, I new that I needed this guitar to add to my collection. The retro-surf- look to it alone screams this is a cool guitar. I went on to the co. website and ordered the guitar and cool harshell case and received it within a week. Well I am pleased to say the guitar plays as well as it looks. My band plays punk, country, hard rock, rockabilliy and this thing handles them all with ease. My band mates always mention the versatility of the sounds and even though I bring gretsches and les pauls to the gigs as well its the Airline that people always want to talk about. The neck is fast and comfortable and the Bigsby is an added bonus. Its a lot fo guitar for $950
