Gary Lucas
Gary Lucas is a true "guitarists' guitarist" - a talented master of t he guitar who's helped names as diverse as Captain Beefheart and Jeff Buckley to create some unforgettable music. He loved playing the Airline Tuxedo CB.
Few guitarists working today are so original as Gary Lucas. No wonder, with a CV that includes collaborations with names as varied as Captain Beefheart, Leonard Bernstein, Jeff Buckley, John Cale, Lou Reed, Nick Cave and even Allen Ginsberg.
His career has included live score for films, rock gigs and even a performance before the General Assembly of the United Nations - but one of his most well-known works remains co-writing some classic Jeff Buckley songs, including 'Grace'.
When last visiting Liverpool, Lucas visited our offices and took a liking for the Airline Tuxedo CB - which he described as "the schizzle!"
