Fernando Noronha

Fernando Noronha is one of Brazil's most electrifying blues guitar icons.

Establishing his career over 20 years ago, Fernando has been a fixture in the global folk and blues scene completing various South American tours annually, 10 tours in Europe and 2 in the US and Canada. He has backed up and worked closely with Greats such as B.B. King, Chuck Berry, Buddy Guy, Chris Duarte (who produced two albums for Fernando), Ron Levy and many more.

I’m really a great fun of these guitars. I first tried one, back in Brazil in 2016. It was a small model, with a fat baseball arm that fitted perfectly in my hand. The sound was unique. I loved!

Then I saw the Airline Tuxedo. I felt in love immediately.

And by the sound I experienced on my first one, I could tell the Tuxedo would have the chance to have an even better sound, duo to the hollow body with no F holes and the the P-90’s pick ups.

That’s exactly what I felt when I first tried a Tuxedo. The sound was even more unique than the Thunderstick model, with a fatness and definition that I hadn’t experienced yet.

Since then I can’t seem to have enough of it. The clean sound is totally vintage and it will send you back to the late 50’s. But if you want to bring it to modern days, and use a distortion or fuzz pedal, it will crash walls.

So, yeah, I’m really stoked to be part of the Airline Team! It’s a pleasure and honor for me.
