Absolutely love my 59. Rock solid dependable. Tele in the bridge sounds awesome with major bite. Neck pick up very smooth, neck profile is perfect action low action makes playing a joy. Get one!

This is a fun guitar. My only Critique is with the bridge pickup. It was just not what I was expecting from a Tele style. I swapped it out for my favorite flavor, and Bobs your uncle, I have a unique guitar with traditional tones.

The Airline 59 2 PT I wanted as an alternative to the sound of your typical Telecaster... the chambered mahogany body and fine craftsmanship, long scale, great pickups and comfortable design made this all so come together in a great way. It still has the Telecaster twang, but the high end is sweeter. The Wilkinson Tele bridge with its compensated brass saddles is a quality piece of workmanship and adds to the great tones. The bridge pickup with its flat pole pieces is the perfect balance of beefy enough for overdrive solos, or clean Tele country twang.. the neck humbucker sounds just great by itself or in combination with the bridge. The guitar is a bit smaller body wise and so comfortable and lightweight as well, making it a great play on the couch guitar. It records beautifully and sounded great with the band as well... the unusual looks have guitarists coming up to me in wonder usually saying something like, wow, that guitar sounds great..what the hell is it? Haha... I've found that it's also my go to for teaching guitar because it's so comfortable.... who knew? At any rate, as usual with Airline, the build quality, tone, fretwork, craftsmanship, fit and finish are impeccable. Hello, Just wanted to say thank you . Also I love what you are doing, these are the guitars my brother and I grew up loving, but not just because they were cheap but were awesome guitars even beyond the flaws.
