I've been waiting for the opportunity to make my comments. I bought this for the nostalgia, but this guitar is so well built for the price, it's not the crap that the original was. Again, really well built. Nice neck, finish, and the single coil pickups sound great. It's a player. Great guitar!

Plays very well after a setup With my preferred string gauges, it feels good in my hands. However, the pickups are just so-so, I'm in the process of replacing them with something much better. Build quality is very good, and this guitar is definitely worth the price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

The Twin Tone is your retro-cool alternative to the same old same old. Dripping with old school mojo, this guitar brings back the glory days of guitar playing--when the guitar was king, and instrumentals were cool. After all...Link Wray played one of these.
Negatives are few. The fretboard looks like it needs at least one more fret market. Not a big deal. The black trim in the middle can catch on your cleaning rag or a sleeve. Again, just a nit-pick. Wear short sleeves.
Perhaps more of a concern is a neck pocket that leaves a couple millimeters around the neck. However, the neck is tight and the gap does not affect playability. None of this keeps the Twin Tone from a perfect rating.
The Twin Tone is just that. A tone machine. The humbuckers are crisp, making a great alternative to that famous guitar of the same shape but costing four times as much. It is also one of Eastwood's cheaper offerings. It is a solid machine, plays great, sounds great...but looks awesome.

I wanted one when I first saw it about a year ago. very happy Santa dropped one off last week! The "Twin Tone" is yet another masterpiece from those good folks at Airline/Edgewood. It's every bit as beautiful as the pics and sounds GREAT! Frequently I replace the pickups on a "new" guitar; I would NEVER replace the double coil pickups on the Twin Tone. full bodied, powerful, and crisp and bright makes the Twin Tone sound as good as it looks! I am so glad I got it!!! THANKS for being so helpful when I called with questions.

I gave the Twintone 5 stars for several reasons. Bang for buck. Under $500, and has replaced my need for a really expensive Les Paul. I love the playability. I did have to have it set up out of box (raise action for slide playing), but that goes for every new guitar I've ever bought. Love the dual hot rail pickups. Lots of bite on the bridge, and great deep tone on the neck pickup. Of course it looks awesome, but all of here know that its all about playability, tone, and dependability. I'm thrilled with mine and will play it on up-coming summer tour.
