Airline Guitars Launches the Swingmaster II on “The Hanger” Platform

A New Chapter Begins with a Vintage-Inspired Hollowbody Built by Player Demand

Chicago, IL — Airline Guitars is proud to announce the launch of the Swingmaster II, the very first project introduced through The Hanger — Airline’s new pledge-based pre-order platform built for players who want a direct voice in what gets made next.

The Hanger

Inspired by classic American hollowbody guitars of the late 1950s and early 1960s, the Swingmaster II blends old-school elegance with modern performance features designed for today’s players. Featuring a lightweight figured maple body, dual P-90 pickups, Bigsby vibrato, bound fingerboard, premium hardware, and an included hard case, the Swingmaster II delivers vintage attitude without the vintage headaches.

Unlike traditional crowdfunding platforms, The Hanger was designed specifically for the Airline community. Players pledge toward projects they want to see become reality. If the campaign reaches its goal, production moves forward. If not, deposits are refunded in full.

“Instead of guessing what players want, we decided to build a system around community demand,” said Airline Guitars. “The Swingmaster II felt like the perfect first launch — something classy, inspiring, and unmistakably Airline.”

The name “The Hanger” itself is a deliberate play on words — inspired by both the guitar hanger and the airplane hangar — tying together Airline’s retro aviation roots with the instruments musicians live with every day.

Every guitar featured on The Hanger is built at a premium factory used by some of the most respected names in the industry, with final inspection and setup handled by Airline Guitars USA.
